
JOINT police operations arrested four drug suspects during a buy-bust conducted along E. Rodriguez Extension, Barangay 144, Zone 10, Pasay City, on Thursday.
Police officials identified the suspects as “Faye,” 36, a resident of the same address; alias Roks, 46; alias Juni, 32; and alias Arian, 32.
The operation resulted in the seizure of seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, totaling 4.7 grams with an estimated standard drug price (SDP) value of P31,960. Also recovered during the operation were one genuine P500 bill, used as buy-bust money, and one black coin purse.
The arrested suspects were informed of the offenses for which they were apprehended and duly apprised of their constitutional rights.
The suspects were subsequently brought to the drug enforcement unit of the Pasay City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
The seized drug evidence will be submitted to the SPD Forensic Unit for laboratory examination, while the arrested suspects will undergo drug testing in accordance with the law.
A complaint for violation of Sections 5 and 13, Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 is being prepared for filing through inquest proceedings before the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office.
In Taguig City, a street-level drug personality was arrested along with suspected shabu worth P69,360 and a caliber.45 pistol with ammunition during a drug bust operation the other day.
Alias “Michael,” 32, unemployed and a resident of Barangay North Signal, Taguig City, was arrested. He was identified as a listed street-level drug suspect.
The operation resulted in the seizure of six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, with a total weight of approximately 10.2 grams and an estimated SDP value of P69,360.00. Also seized were a caliber.45 pistol without a serial number, one magazine and three live rounds of ammunition, along with the marked buy-bust money, a coin purse and a sling bag.
The arrested individual was brought to the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), Taguig CPS, for documentation and appropriate filing of complaints for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
The operation was conducted along Ilocos Street, Barangay Pinagsama, Taguig City, by operatives of the SDEU led by Col. Julius Añonuevo, chief of police, under a PDEA-authorized operation.
