Kota Kinabalu: Sabah's new Covid-19 cases dropped further to 2,174 from yesterday's 18-day low according to an update shared by spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun.
Today's number was 700 fewer than yesterday, which saw the lowest daily caseload since Feb 10.
Despite the big drop, sporadic infections remained high at 62.74 percent of today's cases, which indicated future cases could still soar.
Fewer backlogged cases also caused the huge drop in registered new infections.
