Aarush Bhandari posted an unbeaten ton as Rock Garden Warriors registered a thrilling three-run victory over HIIMS Hawks during the Chandigarh Premier League at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Sector 3, Panchkula.
Batting first, Warriors raised a competitive total of 179/3 with Bhandari going back to the hut unbeaten at 100 runs off 61 balls. In reply, Hawks fought hard and stayed in contention throughout the chase. However, the innings ended at 176/8.
Meanwhile, Tricity Bashers defeated Chandigarh Kings by 45 runs. Batting first, Bashers posted 245/4 in 20 overs, powered by Ankit Kaushik (85 off 38 balls), Devang Kaushik (64 off 35 balls) and Sanyam Saini (45 off 24 balls). In reply, Kings were bowled out for 200 in 19.4 overs despite Shivam Bhambri’s brilliant 86. Taranpreet Singh (3/29) claimed the maximum wickets for the bowling side.
