The school organised a two-day CBSE Capacity Building Programme on “Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices” for teachers. The workshop was conducted under the CBSE’s Continuous Professional Development initiative and was facilitated by Dr Pushpalata, Principal of The GWorld School, and Radhika Gupta of Manav Rachna School, who served as CBSE resource persons. Teachers from CBSE-affiliated schools across Mohali and nearby areas participated in the programme. The training focused on aligning assessment practices with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, designing competency-based questions, using rubrics for holistic evaluation and implementing effective feedback mechanisms. Interactive sessions, group activities and the development of action plans formed key components of the workshop. Associate Director Parnika Singh and Principal Rajminder Kaur Jaitla encouraged educators to strengthen their evaluation skills. They emphasised that effective assessment practices are essential for moving beyond rote learning and promoting competency-based education and overall student development.
