MANILA, Philippines — Very bad weather forced one flight to execute a missed approach while four others performed go-around maneuvers to land safely on Wednesday, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
Several more domestic and international flights were canceled due to the monsoon rains spawned by Tropical Depression "Neneng," CAAP said.
A missed approach, acording to aviation websites, is a procedure to be followed either by the pilot or air traffic control if the original approach on final descent cannot be executed due to unstable conditions.
