The Congress MP from Rohtak, Deepender Hooda, said that Haryana was once considered one of the leading states in industrial development and employment generation, alleging that the anti-trader policies of the present BJP government have pushed the industrial sector into decline.
The Congress leader met traders during his visit to Bhiwani. He claimed that several small industries in the state are on the verge of closure. Compared to the previous Congress regime, Hooda said, industries and traders were given top priority during the Congress government’s tenure. He stated that simpler industrial policies, relief in electricity tariffs, easier access to bank loans, and expansion of basic infrastructure in industrial areas can help trade and industry.
Targeting the BJP government, Hooda alleged that the MSME sector is facing a serious crisis due to flawed economic policies and administrative mismanagement. He claimed that policies favouring a few select groups were causing continuous losses to small entrepreneurs.
Expressing concern over the prevailing scenario, the MP said that if the government fails to address the issues of traders and industrialists in time, unemployment and economic distress could worsen further in the coming years.
Several Congress leaders and local traders were present during the interaction, including Pradeep Narwal, Jassi Petwar, Ashok Buwaniwala, Devraj Mehta, and Pradeep Gulia, along with Congress workers.
