Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with Bhavans Old Students’ Society (BOSS), The Thalassemic Society of PGI, and the Interact Club of the school. The event was thoughtfully clubbed with the Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) to encourage greater community participation and awareness towards this noble humanitarian cause. The event was formally inaugurated by Inderpreet Kaur, Principal, New Chandigarh branch; Sneha Wadhwa, Vice-Principal; Deepak, president, BOSS; and other dignitaries. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, teachers, and well-wishers who came forward voluntarily to donate blood and contribute towards saving precious lives. Adding a creative and celebratory touch to the event, donors also enjoyed getting customised selfies clicked at a specially designed selfie corner curated beautifully by the school’s Art Department. Members of the Interact Club also prepared heartfelt thank-you cards for everyone associated with the drive as a gesture of gratitude for their invaluable contribution in making the event a grand success. The school expressed deep appreciation for the selfless service rendered by the doctors and medical team from the PGI, whose unwavering dedication, support, and meticulous efforts made the successful conduct of the camp possible.
