MANILA, Philippines — Passengers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) should expect brief power interruptions due to the scheduled preventive maintenance on the terminal's electrical systems.
The New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) said that each scheduled outage will last 10 minutes.
The maintenance windows scheduled for August 24 were at 11:30 p.m., August 25 at 4 a.m. and 11:30 p.m., and August 26 at 4 a.m.
The NNIC said that backup power will be available for essential systems, though some terminal facilities and services may be temporarily affected.
"The work is part of regular preventive maintenance to keep NAIA's electrical systems in good operating condition and reduce the risk of unexpected disruptions," it said in a statement.
Airport response teams will be deployed to minimize the impact on passengers and operations.
