Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nigeria’s Nnamdi Azikiwe University to strengthen academic and research cooperation at the international level.
The agreement was signed during a blended-mode programme held in the university committee room. CDLU Vice-Chancellor Prof Vijay Kumar and Nnamdi Azikiwe University Vice-Chancellor Prof Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyehie signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
The agreement will remain valid for five years and may be extended further with mutual consent. Prof Vijay Kumar said the MoU marked an important step in the university’s internationalisation efforts and would provide students and researchers with greater global academic exposure and research opportunities. He said such collaborations would help strengthen academic exchange and promote joint research initiatives between the two institutions.
Prof Anyehie said international collaborations in higher education had become the need of the hour as they offered students and faculty members opportunities for global learning, research and innovation. He added that academic partnerships between institutions from different countries would contribute significantly to knowledge-sharing and capacity-building in higher education.
