Chief Minister thanks Jauteh for 32 years of police service

Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor received a farewell courtesy call from Sabah Police Commissioner CP Datuk Jauteh Dikun at Menara Kinabalu here, Wednesday ahead of the latter’s retirement on Nov 11.

Jauteh will retire after serving more than 32 years in the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).

Hajiji thanked Jauteh for his dedicated service and contributions throughout his career, particularly his efforts in maintaining security and public order in Sabah.

He also hoped that the close relationship and cooperation between the State Government and PDRM would continue to strengthen to ensure the safety and well-being of Sabahans.

Meanwhile, Jauteh thanked the State Government, under Hajiji’s leadership, for its continued support in improving the infrastructure and logistical capabilities of the Sabah Police Contingent.

He said the State Government’s assistance, particularly in providing land, had enabled construction work to begin on two new District Police Headquarters (IPD) in Kalabakan and Nabawan, with groundbreaking ceremonies already held at both sites.

The State Government had also provided special assistance to upgrade 20 police beats throughout Sabah, further improving the force’s infrastructure and operational facilities.

Jauteh said the close cooperation had helped PDRM address various security challenges and accelerate the provision of essential infrastructure and logistical support to strengthen police capabilities in the state.

“On behalf of Sabah PDRM, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister for the strong support extended throughout my tenure as Sabah Police Commissioner,” he said.
