Kota Kinabalu: Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK) successfully retained their overall title at the recent 14th Chief Minister’s Department Goodwill Sports Festival Championship 2025.
They collected a total of nine golds, one silver and two bronzes to top the medal tally ahead of Sabah Foundation Group (KYS), who won eight medals followed by JKM Perdana (community welfare department) with six medals.
Mayor Dato’ Sri Sabin Samitah congratulated the DBKK team for winning the championship for the second time in a row.
He said the achievement manifested the work culture of DBKK employees who are consistent and always strive to improve service standards, in accordance with current requirements.
A total of seven teams took part in the eight-day competition and the other teams were Sabah Land and Survey Department, Sabah Forestry Department, Jheains (Sabah State Islamic Religious Affairs Department) and Sawit Kinabalu.
The closing and prize presentation ceremony was officiated by Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan, representing Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
