The Municipal Corporation (MC), Rohtak, has urged property owners to take advantage of the Haryana Government’s special scheme offering a 100 per cent waiver on interest charged on pending property tax dues. The benefit will be available till June 30, 2026, for outstanding property tax liabilities from the financial year 2010-11 to 2024-25.

Municipal Commissioner Narender Kumar said the scheme is applicable to property owners who self-certify their property details on the Property Tax Outstanding Payment and No Dues Certificate (NDC) Portal and clear their entire outstanding property tax dues up to the assessment year 2026-27.

In addition to the interest waiver, the Haryana Government is also offering a 10 per cent rebate on property tax for the current financial year 2026-27 if the payment is made by July 31, 2026.

Appealing to taxpayers, the Commissioner urged citizens not to wait until the last date and to clear their dues at the earliest to avail themselves of the benefits under the scheme. He said timely payment of taxes would not only help property owners save money but would also contribute to the city’s development and infrastructure growth.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner chaired a review meeting with officials and employees associated with property tax and Property ID-related work. During the meeting, applications received through the Property Tax Payment and NDC Portal were reviewed in detail.

Narender directed officials to ensure that applications submitted by citizens are not kept pending unnecessarily and are not returned without valid reasons. He stressed that all applications should be processed transparently, efficiently and within the prescribed time frame.

“Applications received through the NDC portal must be disposed of with seriousness and transparency. Regular monitoring of the process will be undertaken to ensure accountability,” he said.
