SISTER teams Creamline Cool Smashers and Choco Mucho Flying Titans aim to finish the day with victories when they face the Nxled Chameleons and Galeries Tower Highrisers, respectively, in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
After stumbling in their season opener against PLDT, a full-strength Creamline (3-1) has since caught fire, riding a three-game winning streak.
The Cool Smashers now look to maintain that momentum as they test their caliber against a fortified Galeries (2-3) squad at 6 p.m.
The Sherwin Meneses-mentored team will use the playmaking wits of the league’s eight-time Best Setter Jia De Guzman, who made 22 excellent sets in a sweep win against the Bella Belen-led Capital 1 last Feb. 21.
De Guzman made three Cool Smashers score in double figures with Tots Carlos, Bernadeth Pons, and Jema Galanza, scoring 15, 14, and 13 points, respectively, to overcome the 26-point outing of star rookie Belen.
“Well, we really needed to relax first because we were rushing things. Even when we put ourselves in good situations, we weren’t converting, and when we were in bad ones, we weren’t fixing them,” De Guzman said. “So, the coaches’ instruction was very timely: ‘just get back to the system,’ because the system works,” she added.
With the 10-time champions running its game back, the Highrisers should pull a trick up their sleeves to snap their two-game losing skid.
Galeries relied on rookie Erika Deloria, a graduate of Enderun College, who flaunted her prowess against the Flying Titans after chipping in 19 points in a five-set loss.
Veteran hitter Aiza Maizo-Pontillas looks to lead her team in a battle against Creamline, using her experience as a champion in the now-defunct Petro Gazz Angels.
Ahead of their clash, the Choco Mucho (2-3) braces for the vengeful Nxled (3-2) at 4 p.m.
The Flying Titans finally broke their three-game dry spell after a marathon match against the Galeries Tower last Saturday, with Eya Laure and Sisi Rondina leading the match.
The Choco Mucho duo both churned an identical output of 18 points.
Meanwhile, Nxled looks to return to the win column with the help of Brooke Van Sickle and MJ Phillips. Nxled was stunned by Galeries and Akari, and looks to bounce back against the crowd-favorite Choco Mucho.
