MANILA, Philippines — PLDT swept ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles 25-23, 25-23, 25-13, overcoming a tight first two sets in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference prelims on Saturday, at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.

ZUS attempted to steal a set in the first two cantos, but PLDT managed to power through with Kim Dy leading the team.

In the third frame, the High Speed Hitters were overplaying cat and mouse against the Thunderbelles and held a 21-8 cushion.

Savi Davison committed an attack error, but Jessy De Leon made up for it after a cross-court kill, 22-9.

The Thunderbelles made a couple of runs, but the gap is too wide to catch PLDT, 23-13.

"Our mindset is not something about having something to prove, but it's about sticking to the system," PLDT head coach Rald Ricafort said.

But De Leon finished the match with a drop and a service ace, 25-13.

PLDT tallied a 4-1 record, while ZUS put up 1-4.
