MANILA, Philippines — Savi Davison flaunted her monstrous form after stuffing the statistical sheet with 32 huge points, along with 12 excellent digs and 13 excellent receptions to propel PLDT to a 25-17, 23-25, 27-25, 21-25, 15-10 victory over Farm Fresh in the preliminary round of the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Thursday night at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
The Filipino-Canadian hitter’s 32-point outing was built on 28 attacks, three blocks and an ace to bolster PLDT’s chance to secure a qualifying slot with a 5-1 win-loss slate.
Kim Dy backed her up with 19 points on 14 attacks, three blocks and an ace.
Davison kept herself grounded and credited her teammates for outlasting the gutsy Farm Fresh side.
“They are always ready to perform, you know… Coach (Rald Ricafort) and I are talking later everyone has the opportunity to come in and you know to do their job, so it’s whoever is ready,” Davison said during the post-game presser.
“We have long bench with talented athletes, so I am not surprised that Keisha (Bedonia) was able to come in and score a couple of points, and be part of our core,” she added.
Another unsung hero showed up for PLDT as libero Kath Arado swept the floor with 29 excellent digs and 15 excellent receptions.
Royse Tubino, meanwhile, led the scoring for Farm Fresh with 17 points, while Trisha Tubu added 16 markers. Farm Fresh fell to a 2-4 win-loss record.
