MANILA, Philippines — Despite not suiting up as a starter, Eya Laure proved to be a force to be reckoned with, leading Choco Mucho late in the fourth frame over the fortified Nxled, 27-25, 28-26, 16-25, 25-19, in the preliminary round of the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

With the Flying Titans up by 2-1, the Chameleons planned to force a decider after a 15-9 lead in the fourth canto. But Choco Mucho stormed back with an 8-1 rally, turning things around with Sisi Rondina leading the offense, 16-15.

Nxled's Brooke Van Sickle and Lyann De Guzman chimed in their forces to catch up, but Laure responded with a back-to-back crosscourt hit to keep the momentum on their side, 18-17.

The Flying Titans pulled a 6-1 rally with Laure making a combination of kills to allow her teammates to near a match point advantage, 23-18.

Chiara Permentilla scored a kill, but MJ Phillips made a costly service error that allowed Choco Mucho to be one point away from securing the victory, 24-19.

With Laure now on the back row, Sisi Rondina finished the match with a loaded crosscourt swing, 24-19.

“In the fourth set, it’s more of adrenaline. I even told Sisi to pinch me already, because why is this happening? (Nxled is leading). Then I had the momentum, then kept on scoring. I am thankful to Sisi for waking me up in the fourth,” Laure told the media during the post-game presser.

Rondina led the scoring for the Flying Titans with 24 points, along with 20 excellent receptions, as Kat Tolentino added 15 markers.

Playing with limited minutes inside the court, as she’s recovering from her abdominal injury, Laure managed to score in double digits with 13 points.

Van Sickle led Chameleons with 20 points while Phillips had 13.

Choco Mucho and Nxled share an identical standing of 3-3.
