JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, has issued a public notice warning students and parents about fraudulent individuals attempting to misuse the university’s name during the admission process.
The university has observed that certain individuals and groups are contacting prospective students and their parents via email, phone calls, Facebook and WhatsApp, falsely claiming to secure admissions in exchange for money.
The administration has clarified that the entire admission process at J.C. Bose University (YMCA) is fully transparent, rigorous and strictly merit-based. Admissions are granted on the basis of scores in competitive examinations such as JEE and GATE, entrance tests, or qualifying examination marks. The university further reiterated that, unlike private institutions, it does not operate any management quota.
It has also stated that no individual or agency has been authorised to offer admissions in return for payment. The release warned that anyone demanding money for securing a seat is engaging in fraudulent activity.
The university added that all information regarding admissions, entrance examinations and counselling schedules will be published only on its official website.
Students and their parents have been urged to remain vigilant.
