Shafee was back representing Najib Razak at the Federal Court to review application to reverse Najib's conviction and sentence for the misappropriation of RM42 million in SRC International Sdn Bhd (SRC) funds. Bernama.
He sounded like Schwarzenegger “I’ll be back” the signature line in the Terminator movie franchise.
Apparently, that catchphrase or a variation of it was said in six movies in the celebrated Hollywood series.
It’s such a uniquely iconic line that you can hardly forget It has since spread out into eight other movies, not at all related to the original sci-fi films except that Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in all of them. Every time you hear someone mentioning those words you're likely to be reminded of Arnold himself.
In 1985, one year after the release of The Terminator, Schwarzenegger in the role of a retired special forces colonel John Matrix (in Commando) tells a villain, Bennett “I’ll be back,” to which the antagonist replied, “I’ll be waiting.”
In court last Wednesday, September 28, upon hearing Shafee saying "I’m back on board after some hustle, but I’m back,” high court judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan responded to the laughter in the courtroom, “You should have never left,” and he could have very well added what the antagonist in The Commando said, "I'll be waiting!"
Be rest assured Judge Mohammed Zaini Mazlan will be waiting for Shafee and his team for case management fixed at the Federal Court on next October 21.
Until then we wish Shafee and his team with another catchphrase associated with Arnold Schwarzenegger's character from the 1991 science fiction action movie, Terminator 2, appropriately named as Judgment Day; "Hasta la vista, baby".
Or "Until the (next) time we see each other!"
