MANILA, Philippines — Kieffer Alas debunked the online talks saying that the Ateneo Blue Eagles' team-building activity in Dipaculao, Aurora which led to the drowning of Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili was an initiation for rookies like him.
Asked by broadcast journalist Pia Hontiveros in her "Let's Talk" podcast which was made available on Spotify Tuesday, Alas said "no, not at all".
"It just hurts how people perceive it that way. I know my veterans wouldn't even think of that. Nothing, they wouldn't do that to me or in any other rookies. It's hard to see it online."
