
MANILA, Philippines — NLEX caught fire in the fourth quarter as it pulverized hapless Macau, 106-97 to grab a share of second place in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Import Cady Lalanne, Robert Bolick and JB Bahio connived to lead the Road Warriors’ 32-19 fourth quarter exchange that allowed them to scoot to their fifth win in six starts.
The win enabled NLEX to catch up with Meralco for a share of second place in the standings behind unbeaten Rain or Shine’s 6-0 card.
Lalanne led NLEX with 28 points and 18 rebounds, along three blocks.
Deschon Winston unloaded 24 points, while Bolick registered a near triple-double of 17 points, seven rebounds, and 11 assists.
Bahio chipped in 15 and seven rebounds.
Tony Mitchell led Macau, still winless at 0-7, with 32 points and 17 rebounds. Damian Chongqui added 19, while Ramon Cao 17 in the loss.
