Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani says they were ready to sell Raphinha to Chelsea earlier this summer.
Raphinha eventually left Leeds for Barcelona.
Radrizzani recalled: “Raphinha's thing with Chelsea was done.
"I was embarrassed to see (Todd) Boehly again to change my stance. It was a real lack of respect for me, it was not the right thing to do, but I had no other choice...
"I would prefer not to have sold him, but we needed to buy six players."
