
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s caseload dipped to 226 on Sunday from 243 the day earlier due to a lower number of test samples, said Sabah’s Covid-19 Spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
“There were 2,391 test samples on Sunday with a positivity rate of 8.91 per cent compared to 2,499 the day before with a positivity rate of 10.4 per cent.
“Eighteen districts recorded new infections with six recording double digit figures, namely Kota Kinabalu (91), Penampang (36), Sandakan (24), Lahad Datu (12), Papar (11) and Tuaran (11).
“Putatan recorded the largest decrease (-21) and recorded five new cases. Nine districts did not record any new infections,” he said in a statement, Sunday.
Masidi said 223 out of 226 cases were in category one and two, while one case was recorded in category three and two were in category four.
No deaths or new clusters were identified.
