Municipal Commissioner >> Mahabir Parsad inspects green belts at Sector 17 in Jagadhri.

Municipal Commissioner Mahabir Parsad, along with officials of the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) and Municipal Corporation, inspected green belts and sanitary conditions in Jagadhri’s Sector 17 during a surprise visit on Tuesday.

During the inspection, construction and demolition (C&D) waste was found lying at several places near the green belt, situated close to the main market.

Expressing his displeasure over the accumulation of debris at a public place, the MC Commissioner directed HSVP officials to remove the C&D waste immediately.

He also directed the removal of the C&D waste scattered around the vending zone in Sector 17. “The presence of construction material and debris at public places affects the beauty of the area and causes inconvenience to the public,” the Commissioner said. He instructed the officials of the sanitation branch of Municipal Corporation to ensure regular cleaning of the area.

The Commissioner said constant monitoring and timely cleaning were essential to maintain sanitation in the twin cities. “It is everyone’s moral duty to keep the twin cities of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri clean and beautiful,” the Commissioner added. He appealed to the public not to dump garbage and construction materials on streets and other public places.
