KOTA KINABALU: The hostel block where Zara Qairina Mahathir lived had no closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed, the Coroner’s Court was told.
Hostel security guard Linah Mansoding @ Jaliha, 65, disclosed this while reading her witness statement before Coroner Amir Shah Amir Hassan on Wednesday.
She testified as the sixth deponent in the inquest into Zara’s death and said that, to her knowledge, no cameras were placed at the block.
Linah also confirmed that there were no iron grills along the corridor of the dormitory building.
Her statement added to the picture of the hostel’s security features being examined during the ongoing inquest.
