
MANILA, Philippines — National University seized the No. 2 seed and the UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball stepladder semifinals bye after pulling off a reverse sweep against University of Santo Tomas, 19-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 15-13, at the Araneta Coliseum Wednesday.
The defending champs Lady Bulldogs improved to 10-4, setting up a playoff for No. 4 and the last semis berth between the UST Golden Tigresses and the FEU Lady Tamaraws who both finished the eliminations with 8-6 cards.
The winner between UST and FEU on Saturday faces the No. 3 seed Adamson (9-5).
Adamson and the eventual winner between UST and FEU will battle in another knockout to face NU in a winner-take-all for the last Finals berth.
