Supneet Kaur (16), a student of Gurukul Academy Public Senior Secondary School, Ubha village in Mansa district, has brought laurels to the district by securing the first position in the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class XII results declared today. She got 500/500 marks in science stream.

Supneet, a student of non-medical, has also previously earned recognition as a bronze medal winner in the National School Games in 2024-25 in fencing.

While talking to The Tribune, her father Raj Singh expressed pride in her achievement, and shared Supneet had always been strong in academics and aspired to become a teacher. He said she had narrowly missed a merit position in the past by a few marks.

Raj Singh also runs a school in the village, though it does not offer the science stream.

Supneet’s mother works as an Anganwadi worker. Supneet has a younger sister and a younger brother.

Harpreet Singh, Managing Director of Gurukul Academy Public Senior Secondary School, congratulated Supneet for securing the top position in the state.

He also said that another student from the school, Tanish Jindal, had secured the fifth position with 496 out of 500 marks in the science stream.
