MANILA, Philippines — Veteran spiker Ara Galang delivered a clutch performance off the bench to propel the Farm Fresh Foxies past the Capital 1 Solar Spikers in a five-set thriller, 20-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-12, 15-10, at the Victorias City Coliseum in Negros Occidental on Saturday.
Galang poured in 14 points built on eight attacks, three blocks, and three critical service aces—all scored in the deciding frame—to push Farm Fresh to a commanding 12-7 lead in the fifth. Trisha Tubu led the offense with 24 points, while Ces Molina added 16 markers to secure the Foxies a 2-1 finish in the regional pre-season showcase.
"Maybe it’s the confidence whenever I enter the court. I should be ready whenever they call me, and I also want to contribute to the team," Galang said after earning Best Player of the Game honors. "I am just always ready, and I want to give my best."
Capital 1 ended its tour campaign at 0-2 but displayed clear progress with a balanced attack. Ysa Jimenez, Shaya Adorador, and Cherry Nunag posted 14, 13, and 11 points, respectively, pushing the Foxies to the limit in front of a packed provincial crowd.
