SANDAKAN: A rockfall was reported along a hillside at Jalan Buli Sim-Sim here at about 8.15pm on Saturday.

Sandakan Parliamentary Coordinator Tang Szu Ching, who inspected the site after receiving the report, said members of the public heard the rockfall at about 8.15pm and his team arrived at about 8.30pm.

He said personnel from the Public Works Department concessionaire, Fire and Rescue Department, Civil Defence Force and police were among those at the scene monitoring the situation.

The nearby road heading towards Grandview was closed as a precaution, while monitoring of the rock movement was continuing.
