
MANILA, Philippines — The Aviation Security Group (Avsegroup) arrested a robbery-holdup suspect at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Oct. 2, 2026, police reported on Saturday.
The suspect was attempting to board a flight to Cagayan de Oro when police operatives intercepted him, according to the Avsegroup.
The arrest followed intelligence shared by the Regional Intelligence Division, the Special Operations Group 3, and the Bulacan Police Provincial Office regarding a robbery-holdup incident that took place on the afternoon of Oct. 1 in Malolos City, Bulacan, which involved the passenger.
Upon receiving the information, NAIA Police Station 3 immediately coordinated with the New NAIA Infra Corp (NNIC) security and the airline.
Airport authorities confirmed that they conducted an entrapment and hot pursuit operation, resulting in the suspect's apprehension at Terminal 3.
