
Paralympic swimmers Gary Bejino and Ernie Gawilan gave the Philippines its first two gold medals in the Asean Para Games on Wednesday in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
Bejino clocked 5:32.08 to give the country its first gold medal in the men’s 400 meter freestyle S6.
Gawilan grabbed another gold after clocking 5:02.39 in the 400m freestyle S7.
Gawilan, a four-time Asian Para Games champion, captured his 10th overall gold medal in the biennial event and the 5th 400m freestyle gold in his career.
