BN takes an early lead in Rahang with 1,315 votes against PH’s 157, according to unofficial results as vote counting continues.
SEREMBAN: Barisan Nasional (BN) has established an early lead in the Rahang state constituency, according to unofficial results published by DAP.
At the time of reporting, BN had secured 1,315 votes, while Pakatan Harapan (PH) had received 157 votes in the constituency, which has traditionally been regarded as a DAP stronghold.
However, the figures represent only about eight per cent of the total eligible votes, with vote counting still ongoing.
Rahang has a non-Malay majority electorate, comprising 43.5 per cent Chinese voters, 22.5 per cent Indians and 30.7 per cent Malays.
The results remain unofficial and are subject to change as the counting process continues.
