SEREMBAN – Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Siau Meow Kong has won the Rahang state seat in the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election, according to the Election Commission (EC).
Siau polled 7,896 votes, defeating Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Yap Siok Moy (also known as Ah Moy), who garnered 4,921 votes.
Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) candidate Tang Jay Son received 160 votes, and Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) candidate S. Tinagaran, better known as Cikgu Tina, polled 400 votes.
This gave PH a majority of 2,975 votes in the N.22 Rahang seat.
Voting was held on August 1.
