PH's Arul Kumar retains Nilai seat with 5,937-vote majority

SHAH ALAM – Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate J. Arul Kumar has retained the Nilai state seat in the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election, according to the Election Commission (EC).

Arul polled 15,797 votes, defeating Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Alan Lai, who garnered 9,860 votes.

Berjasa candidate Zamani Ibrahim received 5,844 votes, Bersatu candidate Saravana Kumar a/l Veerasamy secured 718 votes, while Independent candidate Omar Mohd Isa garnered 167 votes.

This gave PH a majority of 5,937 votes in the Nilai seat.
