
RANAU: Unpredictable weather conditions in the district the past week have been posing an unusual challenge for Mount Kinabalu climbers, and the result was apparent when another climber became the latest victim to be injured.
Head of Fire and Rescue (BBP) Ranau Station, PPgB Ridwan bin Mohd Taib said it involved a 41-year-old local male who slipped and injured his left ankle at 6.7 km of the Kinabalu Hiking Trail at about 10.30am on Saturday.
The Auxiliary Fire Officer Mountain Search and Rescue (Mosar) acted quickly.
