MANILA, Philippines — The UP Fighting Maroons ended their 4-game skid after blanking the UE Lady Warriors, 25-21, 25-15, 25-14, in the UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum Sunday.
Kianne Olango pumped 18 points including the clincher, as UP claimed a win for the first time since its 5-set win over defending champ NU on February 28.
Niña Ytang added 14 points for the Fighting Maroons, who improved to 4-5 for sixth place in the standings.
Khy Cepada notched 12 points, 10 digs, and 17 receptions for the Lady Warriors, who stayed winless at 0-9 and suffered their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season.
