Fatehgarh Sahib Deputy Commissioner Sona Thind on Wednesday said special voter verification camps would be held on June 7 across the district to ensure that no eligible person was left out of the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
She said the district had 4.55 lakh registered voters, of whom details of 3.97 lakh had already been mapped.
The DC, who is also the district election officer, said the camps would be held from 10 am to 4 pm, where booth-level officers (BLOs) would be present.
She urged the voters to visit their designated polling stations for the verification. The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to political parties and their booth-level agents (BLAs) to extend full cooperation in making the special drive a success.
