BATU PAHAT, Sept 22 - A weak earthquake of magnitude 4.4 was detected in the waters off here in Johor at 4.55pm today.
According to the Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), the epicentre was located at coordinates 1.7ºN, 102.7ºE at a depth of 10km, about 27km southwest of Batu Pahat.
MetMalaysia said tremors were felt in Batu Pahat and its surroundings, and the department will continue to monitor the area.
