I wanted to consult a professional optician to check the glasses of my spectacle after using it for almost 3 years. My wife, Zarina suggested that I should visit the Focus Point Alamanda branch which is known for professional, friendly staff and quality products with reasonable prices. So, in the evening we drove to Alamanda Mall in Putrajaya with upbeat shopping center featuring branded stores, popular good eateries, bowling, a cinema & colorful fountain. Upon arrival at the entrance of Focus Point Alamanda, we saw a big crowd of customers with children waiting for their turn to get opticians examining and screening them with the eye machine. One staffer approached me to explain that opticians would be able to complete the process within one hour or so. It was already 8.30 pm. and she suggested us to come back around 9.30 pm. So, we did our walkabouts at the Ground Floor of Alamanda Mall and spotted a bustling Oriental Kopi outlet. We joined the queue line of customers waiting to be seated and in the meantime customer service staff requested us to view the menu & place our order. I remember my son, Farouq & wife, Nadja with their son, Daniel hosted breakfast of double ‘kaya’ toast, 2 half-boiled eggs & hot coffee for me, and for his mother, ‘nasi lemak’ & Malay rendang chicken.
But for this dinner, Zarina suggested to me to try the Oriental Chef's signature menu prawn fried rice or Hainanese chicken rice or ‘char kuey teow’ or even curry laksa mee. I chose ‘mee rebus’ & coffee whereas Zarina selected ‘char kuey teow’ & iced tea. We make the right choice & enjoyed our delicious meals. (www.orientalkopi.asia)
