Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload dipped to 160 on Saturday from 183 the day earlier.
However, Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the dip is not a positive indication, as the positivity rate rose to 10.72 per cent despite a lower number of test samples.
He said there were 1,595 samples on Saturday compared to 2,177 on Friday which registered a lower positivity rate of 8.91 per cent.
“The number of infections decreased due to a lower number of test samples, but the positivity rate increased from 8.91 per cent to 10.72 per cent,” he said in a statement, Saturday.
Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 63 cases, followed by Sandakan (21), Tawau (13), Beaufort (8) and Lahad Datu (7).
Masidi said 159 out of 160 cases were category one and two infections, while one case was recorded in category three.
No deaths or new clusters were identified.
