THE Creamline Cool Smashers aim to secure a spot in the Qualifying Round of the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference as they take on the Farm Fresh Foxies on Tuesday at the Santa Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna.
The game is set at 6:30 p.m.
With a 5-2 record, The Cool Smashers are looking to join PLDT (7-1) and Cignal (6-2) in the qualifying round. Meanwhile, the Akari Chargers (4-3) will face off against the Galeries Tower Highrisers (2-5) at 4 p.m.
The Cool Smashers, led by Sherwin Meneses, have only two losses in the tournament — against PLDT and Akari.
Galanza topped the team with 16 points in their four-set loss to Akari, followed by Carlos with 10. Meanwhile, Pons had an off game, scoring just eight points, unusual for her usual double-double pace.
Creamline seeks to bounce back, and with their full squad, including playmaker Jia De Guzman, they’re aiming to secure a Top 4 spot for a smoother path to the semis.
The top team will face the top 4 in the qualifying round, and winning gets them straight to the semis. Losing, though, sends them to the play-in finals against the lower bracket winners.
Farm Fresh could grab a play-in advantage if they upset Creamline, thanks to their 3-4 record putting them in a potential 5th or 6th spot.
Under the 2026 rules, teams ranked 5th and 6th start directly in the play-in semifinals, so that’s a big plus for them if they win.
Farm Fresh’s momentum is looking good. The Foxies took down Choco Mucho Flying Titans in a 5-set thriller on March 10.
Trisha Tubu led the charge with 22 points on 16 attacks and 6 blocks, backed by Ces Molina’s 17 points, overcoming Sisi Rondina and Kat Tolentino’s efforts.
