MANILA, Philippines — Farm Fresh Foxies dominated the depleted Creamline Cool Smashers in 4 sets, 25-16, 25-22, 18-25, 25-23, in the PVL All-Filipino Conference prelims Tuesday at Santa Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna.
Farm Fresh was led by Trisha Tubu, who put up 22 points on 16 points, five blocks, and an ace, while Royse Tubino and Riri Meneses added 18 and 10 points, respectively.
The Foxies improved to a 4-4 win-loss record and prevented Creamline from securing its qualifying-round ticket, as the 10-time champions fell to 5-3 and are now tied with the Akari Chargers.
Creamline struggled without coach Sherwin Meneses, who's recovering from an illness, and missing Jema Galanza and Bernadeth Pons.
This made Tots Carlos carry the scoring load as she chipped in 18 points, while Alyssa Valdez churned out 14 markers.
