MANILA, Philippines — The Akari Chargers extended their winning streak to three after taking down the Capital 1 Solar Spikers in four sets, 17-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-17, in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Saturday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

Ivy Lacsina once more led the Chargers with her 19-point output, along with 13 excellent receptions, while Eli Soyud chipped in 14 markers.

Rookie Chenie Tagaod also joined the double-digit mark, adding 12 points.
This scattered offensive output by the Chargers was made possible by Mars Alba, who orchestrated 23 excellent sets and added four points to her stat sheet.

Justine Jazareno made 17 excellent digs and three excellent receptions.

After opening the conference with three-straight losses, Akari played catch-up and improved to a 3-3 win-loss card.

“I trust my team. If the team trusts me, I am happy. Our transition is good, and our connection is better. At first, we were overcoming that (connection) and now that it’s working, it’s translating in the match,” head coach Tina Salak said.

Capital 1 only had Bella Belen score in double figures as she put up 24 points. Shaya Adorador only made nine points, while Sydney Niegos added eight markers.

The Solar Spikers tallied a 3-4 record.
