MANILA, Philippines — Colegio de San Juan de Letran outlasted defending champ De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde, 17-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-14, 15-11, in Game One of the Finals at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum Sunday to move to the cusp of the NCAA Season 101 women's volleyball title.

Vanessa Sarie hammered 19 points including the clincher as the Lady Knights toppled the 5-peat-seeking Lady Blazers with a 5-0 finishing kick, winning their first match in this Finals trilogy.

Letran got swept by Benilde in both the Season 99 and Season 100 finals series.

Judiel Nitura poured 21 points on 18 attacks, one block, and the two aces in Letran's killer run.

The Lady Knights are now one win away from claiming their first title (third overall) in 27 years or since winning their second straight in Season 74 back in 1999.
