Luzon will continue to have rain; thunderstorms affecting Visayas, Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines — Luzon will continue to have cloudy skies and rain on Tuesday due to the southwest monsoon or habagat. The rest of the country would have scattered rain showers from localized thunderstorms, state weather agency Pagasa said.

In its 4 a.m. weather advisory, Pagasa said that Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro would experience moderate to heavy rain due to the habagat.

Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Pangasinan, Benguet, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, and Camarines Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms also due to the southwest monsoon.

Meanwhile, Pangasinan and Benguet may have moderate to heavy rainfall, and the rest of Luzon will have partly to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.

On the other hand, the rest of the country would have partly to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

The state weather bureau warned of flash floods and landslides in areas experiencing moderate to heavy rain. Wind speeds for the northern and western sections of Luzon were moderate to strong, and coastal waters would be moderate to rough.

The rest of Luzon would have light to moderate winds with moderate coastal waters. Visayas and Mindanao would have light to moderate winds, and coastal waters would be slight to moderate. TMT
