MANILA, Philippines — Marikina suspended Wednesday's face-to-face (F2F) and online classes in public and private schools.
In her announcement posted on the Facebook page of the city's public information office, Marikina Mayor Maan Teodoro cited the 5 p.m. weather bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration. The southwest monsoon was expected to bring more rain on Wednesday.
"As a precaution, face-to-face and online classes at all levels in public and private schools in the City of Marikina are suspended tomorrow, August 19, 2026," Teodoro said in Filipino and English.
