MANILA, Philippines —The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) forecast fair weather in a large part of Luzon on Sunday and isolated rainshowers.
Pagasa Weather Specialist Aldczar Aurelio said in the 5 a.m. Public Weather Forecast that a weak southwest monsoon was affecting the western part of south Luzon.
"We expect that the southwest monsoon will affect or continue to affect mostly the western section of southern Luzon and of the Visayas tomorrow up to Thursday," Aurelio said in Filipino and English.
"Good and fair weather will be experienced in a big part of Luzon. Also expect isolated rainshowers due to thunderstorms," he said.
Cloudy skies would be experienced on Sunday in Palawan, he said, adding that there was a chance of scattered rains with thunderstorms.
The Visayas and Mindanao would experience good and fair weather on Sunday, he said. "The skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy except for sudden downpours due to thunderstorms," he said.
