Pagasa forecasts thunderstorms in Metro Manila, neighboring provinces on Friday

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) forecast thunderstorms in Metro Manila and neighboring provinces on Friday.

Pagasa Weather Specialist John Manalo said in the 5 p.m. Public Weather Forecast that Friday's weather would not be far from the weather on Thursday, Sept. 17.

Manalo said in Filipino and English that there would be "thunderstorm activities in Metro Manila and its neighboring provinces."

He said skies would remain cloudy in Palawan, a big part of the Visayas, and the northwestern portion of Mindanao because of the low pressure area being monitored by Pagasa.

Even as no gale warning was issued, Manalo urged those who would use small seacraft to take care because it was still possible for the height of waves that they could encounter to reach 2.5 meters.
