SANDAKAN: A wooden stilt house at Jambatan 1, Kampung Sim-Sim here collapsed in the wee hours of Saturday.
District Fire and Rescue Station chief Jimmy Lagung said a team was dispatched following an emergency call at 1.57am.
He said the 40 by 30-foot structure was unoccupied, and its support beams were found to be decayed.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Firefighters conducted a safety inspection before ending the operation at 3am.
