
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 294 Covid-19 cases on Friday, a slight decrease from 297 the day earlier.
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said there were 2,841 samples on Friday compared to 2,909 on Thursday, adding that the positivity rate decreased slightly to 10.52 per cent from 10.83 per cent.
He said Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 72 cases, followed by Sandakan (36), Tawau (26), Penampang (25), Beaufort (20), Tuaran (16), Putatan (13) and Lahad Datu (11).
“Four districts did not record any new infections, namely Beluran, Kalabakan, Nabawan and Tongod,” he said in a statement, Friday.
Masidi said 290 out of 294 cases were category one and two infections while four were in category four. No deaths or new clusters were identified.
