
SHAH ALAM - DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has lost the Chennah state seat to Barisan Nasional's (BN) Siow Kong Choon in the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election.
Official results showed that Siow secured 5,726 votes to defeat Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Loke, who garnered 5,038 votes, giving the BN candidate a majority of 688 votes.
The defeat ended Loke's 13-year tenure as the Chennah assemblyman, a seat he had held continuously since 2013.
The Negeri Sembilan state election involved contests for all 36 state assembly seats, with candidates competing across the state following the completion of the nomination process.
